On Wednesday, Marvel premiered the first trailer for the forthcoming X-Men: Dark Phoenix movie.
In the film, Jean Grey (played by Sophie Turner) is "infinitely more powerful, but far more unstable" after colliding with a "mysterious cosmic force."
The tension-filled trailer hints at that dichotomy, with one character telling her, "You didn't come here looking for answers--you came here looking for permission," and Grey at another point saying, "They're right to fear me."
The movie also stars Michael Fassbender, Jennifer Lawrence, Nicholas Hoult, and Jessica Chastain.
Dark Phoenix is in theaters February 14, 2019.
