M. Night Shyamalan & Bruce Willis to Reunite for 'Unbreakable' Sequel

M. Night Shyamalan confirmed on Wednesday that he has finished the script for the follow-up to both his 2000 film Unbreakable and 2016’s Split.

"It's taken 17 years but I can finally answer the #1 question I get, 'Are you making a f#&@ing sequel to Unbreakable or what?'" he tweeted.

"My new film is the sequel to Unbreakable and Split. It was always my dream to have both films collide in this third film."

The director went on to explain that Unbreakable stars Bruce Willis and Samuel L. Jackson, as well as Split star James McAvoy, have signed on for the new film titled Glass.

Universal Pictures later confirmed Shyamalan's posts by releasing a statement about the project: "Glass finds Willis' character David Dunn pursuing James McAvoy's superhuman figure of the Beast in a series of escalating encounters."
